Ibsen’s A Doll’s House is a timeless story of self-discovery, courage, and the fight for independence. Witness the sparks fly as Nora confronts societal expectations, personal betrayal, and the cost of true liberation. Bold, provocative, and deeply moving, this production invites audiences to explore what it means to step out of the shadows and claim one’s own life.
A riveting classic with relevance for every generation—where every choice carries consequence, and every voice deserves to be heard.
Synopsis:
In this groundbreaking 19th-century drama, Nora Helmer appears to lead a happy, idyllic life with her devoted husband, Torvald. But beneath the surface of domestic bliss, secrets and societal pressures weigh heavily on her. When a past decision threatens to unravel her carefully constructed world, Nora faces a powerful choice that challenges conventions, marriage, and the very definition of freedom.
Characters:
Nora Helmer – a cheerful and devoted wife who realizes her need for independence.
Torvald Helmer – Nora’s husband, paternalistic and obsessed with social reputation.
Kristine Linde – Nora’s old school friend, a widow, who serves as a foil to Nora.
Dr. Rank – A family friend of the Helmers, terminally ill and secretly in love with Nora.
Nils Krogstad – A lawyer, morally ambiguous, desperate to protect his reputation.
Anne-Marie – The nanny, devoted and practical, traditional maternal values.
The Children – Nora and Torvald’s children appear briefly on stage but are never named individually.
