Jack Worthing (Ernest) – The protagonist who leads a double life.

Gwendolen Fairfax – Algernon’s love interest, sophisticated and determined. 

Cecily Cardew – Jack’s ward, imaginative and romantic. 

Lady Bracknell – Gwendolen’s formidable mother, focused on social status. 

Miss Prism – Cecily’s governess, with a mysterious past. 

Dr. Chasuble – The local clergyman who becomes involved with Miss Prism.
