The Rochdale Theatre Experience
About LTC
Lismore Theatre Company is a not-for-profit Amateur Theatre Group that has been committed (since 1970) to providing a warm, welcoming, inclusive place for members of the local community to be involved in all aspects of the theatre. We give members an opportunity to express themselves in the theatre through acting, directing, working backstage, in lighting and sound or writing for the theatre. Our home is The Rochdale Theatre: a 100 year old theatre building seating 88 people, which was originally a country hall.
The theatre is now air conditioned and the supper room is a comfortable place to mingle and enjoy a drink from the bar before the show, at intermission or with the cast afterwards. The theatre is also available for hire for parties, receptions, theatrical events, meetings and workshops. Technical assistance is also available if required. Our organisation is run entirely by volunteers. We generally produce 4 major shows per year and a children’s pantomime in the holiday season.
