The theatre company welcomes all people interested in directing a show.
Please make a submission to committee at any of the monthly meetings. Submissions should include:
At least 2 copies of the script for committee members to take home and read
Information about availability and cost of royalties
A preliminary budget including a brief outline of what set, props and costumes would be required to give some idea of cost
Some information about your previous experience directing or producing a show or your involvement in theatre.
A general timeframe of when you would be available to direct it.
If you would like some help putting together a submission or would like some experience as an ‘Assistant Director’
one of the established directors at the theatre first before trying it yourself, please come along to a committee meeting
and find out how to get involved in this side of the company.
|
Volunteers are required to sell tickets at the door, serve Tea and Coffee etc at interval and general clean up
of theatre space after each show.
A roster is involved so you only need to do it once for each show if you like. It is a great way to meet people,
get involved and help out the Theatre Company - and you get to see the show for free!
If you are interested in going on a list of people we can call to
make up such a roster please contact Chrissi Claff on 6629 1445 or chrissiclaff@yahoo.com.au

Want to get involved in a production but not interested in actually being out there under the lights on stage???
All productions require a huge
amount of help behind the scenes and we are always looking for people who are interested in helping build sets, make props, find/sew costumes, paint things,
paint the sign for the show, design a poster, hand out flyers, put up posters, work as assistant directors, help out backstage with make-up, hair or even become
stage manager!
If any of these options interest you contact anyone on the committee or contact one
of the Directors for a show (phone numbers listed next to audition notices) - they will be very glad of any
offer to help even if you have never done anything like this before!

Lismore Theatre Company is always looking for more people interested in this fascinating side of the production team.
Helping out with sound/lighting for a show is a wonderful way to get involved if you are not keen to get up onstage but still want to have an
impact on the feel/mood/success of the production. Essential to any production team, sound and lighting technicians are few and far between
so if you have an interest in this area and want to give it a go contact the Sound and Lighting Director Mark Stuckey
on 0428 404 783 or e-mail markstuckey@bigpond.com
In 2007 the Company held free Sound and Lighting workshops and
if the demand exists for more we will hold them again in 2009. Otherwise you can always learn on the job, as it is not as hard as you might think
and it can be a very rewarding way to get involved.

If you are interested in becoming a committee member come along to the AGM or contact the president Brian on 6624 8499
You only need to be able to spare a little time to help out and attend meetings once a month so come along and get involved in the decision making side of things!
|
As with any volunteer run organization, Lismore Theatre Company is always looking for volunteers who
are willing to do the odd jobs around the place and keep things running smoothly. If you can spare some time to mow a lawn,
do some cleaning, do some small handyman jobs, do some painting or gardening etc please contact anyone on the committee and we will gladly put you to work!
